I really didn’t have much in terms of expectations for this show and for a while I was happy to go along with the general storyline but somewhere along the line, maybe around episode 5/6 this show started to irritate me. I really don’t care what happens to Coop. In fact all his whining and sadness like he wasn’t the one that got himself into the mess he is in. And then how everything just magically works out for him after all that?! And we are supposed to believe this clearly emotionally unavailable man was there for his bipolar sister in any real way other than asking if she took her meds?! Watching rich people be awful is extremely nauseating and BORING. And yet who is surprised to see it’s already been greenlit for another season 🙄 We didn’t need anymore seasons of this show. I may be nowhere near the wealth and lifestyle Coop is from but nothing about him or this show is believable. I’ve just finished the finale and it was shambolic. I won’t be watching the new season but I’m sure Apple will keep investing in this show no matter what. It’s when rich white executives have the power to make a tv show so self indulgent and lack self awareness for no other reason than simply because they can. And I loved Succession and White Lotus!
