‘A cheap attempt to smear Islamic practices and Pakistani culture’ according to one review. Thank you. That sanctimonious and puritanical view of what they are, or should be, made me want to see this wonderful and nuanced film about the ambiguities of human life. It has a predictable ending, but the journey is well worth it. Insh’allah!
