Rodica Volintiru

I found "Ripley" (Netflix) to be very good (even if you know the "story"). Filmed in black and white, in the carefully reconstructed setting of Italy in the early 1960s, with a strange recurring allusion to Caravaggio's "crimes"... Impeccably played, in an avalanche of substitutions, ambiguities, perfectly stitched lies and blobs of conscience in the psychology of an affable sociopath... A craftsman's achievement!
