Just saw this movie in the theater and WOW. This has to be the strangest, creepiest, most thought-provoking, and incredible stop motion film that I have ever seen in my life. The animation is stellar, fluent, and horrifyingly beautiful. The storyline is clear, but it also confuses you in the best way possible. It makes you question what reality is in this movie. There really seems to be no clear answer, and that was done intentionally. It was up to the audience to think about the answer for themselves. It was like an abstract painting in a museum. In fact, this movie proved that when done right, a film can also be abstract art. I would highly recommend this stop-motion classic at your nearest theater. Phil Tippet is a genius.
