Warning: a petulant and self-involved review follows... I often sit and bathe myself in a quiet and indulgent arrogance that I understood the brilliance of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice before the Ultimate cut was ever released. My (now non-existent) Facebook history is littered with the bones of written wars between myself and those who simply weren't visionary enough to see its worth at the time. I hope many have come to see genius when it sits before them. And as for this film... I loved it then, I love it now and I will love it always. "There was a time above, a time before there were perfect things. Diamond absolutes" ❤

This film is everything and more! ❤❤❤ critics can say what they want. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Putting the politics that went into getting this film out there aside for one minute - Zack Snyder's Justice League is a dose of good medicine for both film maker and film enthusiast. He treats the art with such total respect (allowing the story to unfold at its natural pace rather than rushing it e.g. Cyborg). His use of sound in this film is something else (from that scene when those women sing for Aquaman as he quietly steals away into the ocean) to the clever use of sonar in those underwater scenes! I'm not going to bore you with my absolute praise of his cinematic brilliance but I'll say this - no one can do what Snyder can do in that department (hate him or love him, he's special!). As a lover of film, I feel a sense of divine justice has been served in the releasing of this film - I should have NEVER been kept from it in the first place. Now, #RestoreTheSynderverse

I don't know what all the reviewers watched, but I'm pretty sure I watched Malcolm & Marie (2021)... and I thought it was great! 👌🏾 Genius camera work and excellent acting aside, I'm still taken aback by the fantastic way that this film captures the themes of [modern and traditional] relationships. Themes such as: feeling unheard, not listening, defensive strategies, toxicity, thanklessness, deep love, real love, dark love, support, encouragement...the list is endless. The film captures all of this and more through the lens of 'filmmaking' - which I thought was pretty clever. I cried when Marie asks Malcolm why he didn't cast her 😥 Overall, an excellent film which is clearly lost on reviewers! Luckily, it's not about them.

Haha it's good. Clever! Weird! Funny! Some great characters and it makes me think! Well done Amazon.
