I watched this with my partner, who has strong family ties to West Ireland, expecting a Guardian-recommended treat. We didn’t get one, and I think the main reason is, that even in an absurdist piece, be it theatre or film, you still want to be convinced by the actors, and we were not. The accents were bad but the acting was worse. It was like watching a local am dram. Sorry.
