I read this book for a half hour. The pdf was provided to me for free. The author writes like a Cis het white male unaware of intersectionality. During my half hour reading, I was filled with the perception the author craves human connection and uses his book to do so. It is filled with personal stories but with only molecules of wisdom gained from each story, at best. At times it is simply statements. Details of a life. For example, "both my sisters no longer speak to me" is presented as a one sentence anecdote with no further commentary.
The last page of the book is testimonials. I feel like this is the point of the book. Money doesn't buy feelings. Money doesn't buy genuine human connection. This is the purpose of the book, it seems. The author mentions receiving non stop hate mail. To have to wade through so much trash to get some gems must be a bummer.
I don't recommend the book. It does no harm, but a secret way to make a few million selling a business and then having that investment grow in a late stage capitalist society is not here and available for just anyone. James, good luck to you at finding happiness.
