Late Spring is a Japanese language Film released in 1949 by Yasujirō Ozu
This Movie is one of my favourite. I would say this is the best movie of Ozu. Ozu is known for his static shots and his own style and in this movie too you will see that 99 percent of the frame are static.
Any way teqnicallity The film is great. It's an example of great Visual storytelling which is the property of All great films.
The film tells us the story of a father and daughter. The mother died long ago so these two are too intimate to each other and that became a part of their life after living together all the time. But they have to play the part of their life and the daughter must get married which she really doesn't want because of her love for her father. Now the rule of the society and many other things are also a factor.
The film tells the story in Ozu-style which makes the film my favourite.
