Great new world and storyline, epic potential… wasted. Not worth the hype. Becomes repetitive and immature. I can admit just over half way through I stopped to google the age of the author (insert face palm). Not a great sign. The characters begin to lack intelligence and maturity (for their age) throughout the story and especially during bedroom antics. The repetitive, constant, nonstop lust and choice of words is juvenile and silly leaving you wondering if the thesaurus exists anymore.
I talked myself into finishing this book, hoping the dragon storyline would expand. Silly me. The last chapter should have came earlier. Huge fail and just odd ending it there. I think the intent was a cliffhanger but it didn’t leave me excited for the next book. The good news? I haven’t internally eye-rolled so much in years. So if nothing else, that part was …entertaining?
