The acting is unbelievably good and is very lifelike and doesn’t seem like it’s been dramatised to a cheesy or unessesary extent but the accents of the locals in salisbury are kind of insulting, i am from salisbury and have lived there all my life and I can only think of handful of people who have such a strong Wiltshire accent most being from the country and not the city. This, sometimes, takes the seriousness out of such a horrible time.Furthermore the fact some scenes aren’t even filmed in salisbury confuses me considering bbc studios London are less than 2 hours drive from our city and this extracts the reality from the drama. Overall the show is great and worth watching but these unrealistic characteristics deny the show from a fifth star.
