i had the thought to waste a rainy sunday in a chick flick with 4 great beauties of my youth. i was aghast to discover all but candace bergen had so surgically molested their faces as to be nearly unrecognizable. candace plays her fat beautiful self with a campy glint in her eye and actually connects. the biggest surprise here is don johnson upstaging the entire cast with his near cameo appearances. he makes 73 the new 50 and his acting offering the only relief from embarrassement in the entire movie. only harrison ford can look that good but he could never have handled the schlocky part. jane fonda at 85 gets 2 stars for just showing up. it could have been cute with a best exotic marigold take on old girl friends, new romance and exotic places but, aside from dj, the movie is a shameful mess from first frame till last.
