Giving it a 1 star because I see other reviews giving it a 5 star with no evidence of it being a perfect game. It isn’t, there are more plot holes than any story I can think of. Honestly, it all starts because Joel and Tommy give away their names (something they and most likely you would never disclose with a stranger in a brutal post apocalyptic world). Abby kills Joel in front of Ellie, Ellie kills a couple of Abbys friends (forgettable characters) Abby then brutally beats Ellie’s girlfriend, almost kills Tommy (who somehow survived like 2 deaths) kills Jesse and then Ellie promises to stop chasing Abby. Tommy then aggravates Ellie to chase and find Abby again to kill her. However she not only rescues Abby and Lev, (trans male or female, whatever) but fails to kill Abby and loses her girlfriend, the baby and 2 important fingers to play an instrument that Joel invested precious time for her to learn. How is this a story of revenge like Neil said it’d be hmm? It isn’t. Also, they made a full trailer showing Joel and Ellie and not Abby just before release to bait people into buying the game because it turns out the best part of the game are flashbacks between Joel and Ellie, how about that? The story is garbage. Ending is garbage. Look at how many negative reactions it’s getting from well known YouTube channels like Skill Up, Tyler1 and Pewdiepie. Don’t buy the game, watch the gameplay and story unfold and understand why it’s garbage. Do your research, don’t be sheep.
