Everything except the world may be ending seemed to bother these two melodramatic sisters. It almost seemed the father poignantly died early in order to escape the crying and dramatic fits of his griping daughters. This movie all but needed a therapist to come knocking on the door and provide group sessions in between the half hearted efforts of chopping wood, picking berries, and killing pigs to survive. The fact that there was no real curiosity from the damsels in distress to find out what really happened to the world, leads me to wonder if the writer originally set out to make a self-help movie on depression.
