While a bit "Disneyfied" w/ Mrs.Travers actually ending up liking the film version of Mary Poppins )which is definitely NOT true)This was a film w/ surprisingly gritty moments from "The Mouse" dealing w/dysfunctional families, alcoholic fathers, poverty & major "Daddy Issues". The film does have it's lighter moments too w/ Emma Thompson (& her trademark dry delivery) making for a "practically perfect" PL Travers. Also,Tom Hanks was terrific as Walt Disney. Finally, enjoyed watching the whole creative process that went into making a classic film.
