What is trance? Google says 'half conscious state'. The film deliver the same meaning. I was clueless after watching the trailer and the song 'noolupoya' exhibits fahad fasil as a motivator.
The entire 'Trance' team is brave enough to throw light to a social evil, that is, hefty offerings accumulated from public in the name of god.Even if the film comes with an 'action, drama' tagline, it has bits of comedy to deliver.
If you want me to pick up the best 3 reasons to watch this, it would be:
1. Amal Neerad's cinematography just nailed it.
2.To experience the finest sound mixing by Resul Pookutty (Oscar winner enna summava) absolutely fabulous. If you want me to list it down it would be .. the sound stops abruptly when the switch is put on, fingers striking on glass window pane, clink of glasses.. actually it's a feast to our ear's that you have to experience by your own. So much detailing that adds glory to each scene.
3.Fahad Fasil, obviously the promising actor of mollywood. If shammi was a hero, Viju Prasad is his baap. It's like a character tailor made for him. I doubt anybody else in mollywood could do this role better than him.
And the supporting actor Dilish Pothan needs a special mention.Gautham Menon, Chemban Vinod,Nazriya, Sreenath bhasi all are great at their capacity. Vinayakan as always was living in it. And our karikku fame Anu.K.Aniyan popular as 'george' is a crowdpuller on a single shot.
I can't tell you this is an exceptionally crafted script, no it isn't but the way DOP Amal Neerad introduce it to us is highly appreciable.
Major part of the setting is in Grand Hyatt. It was like my ₹150 ticket worth me in experiencing world class ambience that would have cost me upto 10k.
Do watch the film at the earliest.
