I've been a Superman fan since I was 5 yrs old and collected comic books until 2001. While I enjoyed the final battle, I still had to force myself to sit and watch the first nearly hour and fourty-five minutes of an emotional wreck Kryptonian and an obsessive, over controlling "villain." The plot was weak and the random pick "heros" seemed like afterthoughts to try to give the Man of Steel time to "share his feelings?" I felt bad for the actors, simply because if they were given a better storyline, I'm sure they would have risen to the occasion and the movie would have been so much more interesting. In this version every very fight Superman got into, he gets his butt handed to him. (I mean, REALLY ITS SUPERMAN) Once again it seems like Hollywood portrays the guys to have backbones like a slinky and the women save the day (thank heavens Lois was able to save the man of aluminum from an other worldly dimension). Graphics are great, but once again sadly DC missed the memo.
