I had a few hours to kill and this was the only English language film to choose from , so I wasn’t expecting to be wowed. The scenery in parts were the highlight of the film , certainly not the plot. Regardless of who directed or starred the action was totally unbelievable, and if it was supposed to be a horror film I’ve had electric bills give me more concern. Note to film makers, blasting me with a 140 decibel bang/thud/crash in an attempt to frighten me doesn’t work without a convincing story and appears to be the fallback modus operandi for the business. The one and only thought process I had was that the plot was linked to the tv dating show where the audience were watching the contestants who were similarly contained in a building and had to follow rules before being forced to leave. I could see parallels in the behavior of those members and the films 4 main characters. Maybe I missed some intellectual message or theme but I won’t be rushing to view it again to discover that message.
