A late night or lazy day movie typical of the genre
with circus type analogies for the human experience. Celest who plays Partenon is not just beautiful, but has a Audry Hepburn type
mystique. Her troubled brother looks & seems alot like Timothy Challamet.

You have to be in the right mood for this movie; perhaps a lazy day with no interest in being entertained, more like an open book contemplative. I was much more interested during Terence Howard's monolog about two hours in. If your patient it delivers. That said; it's not a movie I'd think about watching twice.

I've heard much about Hitchcocks beligerant obsession with realism at Tippys expense, but not the sexual assault in the car. I give "The Girl" an A for disturbing, but it's not a movie I'd wanna see twice.

I had no idea how good Laury Metcalf could be. Her performance here was Oscar worthy. All around a solid cast tho.

I didn't know what to think. On one hand, the ability to tell her extrodinaryly powerful story was captivating. On the other hand to relive it in front of the world feels bizzare. That said; when she finally revealed it was only a Porn addiction, I was dum founded like you are from a no joke. All of this gut wrenching drama for something far less despicable than it was. Was it healthy, of course not, but he did nothing physically harmful to no one. Essentially her story was really about Suburban White women privilidge craving drama thru the facade of sympathy in hopes of looking empathetic. The reality of that allowed me to appreciate her theatrics.

I take everything with a grain of salt; so to each his own. I don't doubt the possibility of spirits because like most I've experienced what seemed like ESP. : ex. Thinking of some one & they call or visa versa. That seems to be in the same ball park as spirits to me. Even my dog knew when my son was on his way home 10 minutes before he got here & he rarely came home at the same time. That said; we're all subject to loss & struggle with it, so we're a pretty big pond of fish for those looking for a mark. That's not to say I discount all Psychics, but definitely most as I do with those who claim to be anything extra ordinary. I don't even doubt that some of these so called psychics are sincere in their belief ironically for the same desperation that drew others to seek them for help. They crave purpose. From another angle I can see why a non believer would simply exhaust the possibilities with therapists or psychics to digest a difficult period. All science is based on theory that comes from trial & era & trial & era catalogs the results to determine the rate of chance. At some point we all want to stop struggling & being cynical, so we search for someone one that agrees with our wishfull thoughts. This doc didn't hold my attention thru out, but I think it's good to gather such a wide array of sessions so those interested can experience a more neutral perspective of what they may crave.

One of the best of this Genre I've seen; up there with "The Watchmen" & "Abraham Lincoln the Vampire Slayer". I'm sure I'll continue to come back to it as the years go by. Even if your not a fan of this Genre it'll resonate.

I couldn't sleep & kinda ran outta shows to watch, so I stuck with it & was glad I did. I remembered her from Jordan Peeles "Get out" a few years ago & he turned out familiar to from a bunch of fantasy flicks. I suspended any disbelief I had for suspense movies years ago, so no issues there. Although neither gave a Tom Hanks performance like Cast Away, I'd say it was closer to Matt Damon's "The Martian" as far as performance goes. I liked them both & they did have chemistry on & off the screen. Turns out their really married with a kid. I'm kinda a sucker for redemption movies & once I start to care for the characters I don't want either dieing off. I've also got a lil McGiver in me when it comes to improvisation or just plain thinking on your feet stuff like Captain Kirk was famous for. Even when it's far fetched its fun because in reality improbabilities are just outliers like falling out of a plane without a shoot. It's a one & a million chance to survive, but it's happened before. It was worth the watch to me.

The best of the Batman Enterprise ! Origin, context, evolution, climax & some how seamlessly weaving in great choreography & special effects. Acting was great, despite Bailes over the top raspy voice, but I got use to it. Great film !
