For the longest time, I put off trying "The Witcher 3" because I'm not the type to dive into extremely hyped games, typically I wait for the initial excitement to die down. Now that I actually took the chance to, my first impression was that I'm rather disappointed. But with the reminder that it was an older game I'll mostly keep comments about controls to the side (movement did feel like turning a brick though). As for story, I felt it impossible to follow. Very much feels like you would need prior knowledge from the books to understand (which I have read) but the visuals are incredibly disorienting. And the fact I'm forced to look at too mostly nude characters within the first 10 minutes isn't favorable to me as well. I'm here for story enrichment, not Yennefer's bare behind on my screen (and personally I don't want Geralt naked on my screen either, it's just uncomfortable). Tutorial was easier to grasp but didn't have a decent way of engaging me and it all felt pretty generic. The ability selections feel kind of tedious but I do appreciate the concept but when in use it feels pretty empty. I really wanted to be captivated by this game but nothing kept my attention and personally I think I'll be sticking with the book series!

This show was everything I could've wanted out of an anime!! And made me interested in checking out the original series as well. The animation, story-pacing, character expressions, and dynamics truly captivated me in a way that I can't fully explain. Trigun Stampede had me crying at my desk and gushing at 3am and I don't think I've ever loved a cast more than the four here. As an aspiring artist the direction that was taken with this series blows my mind and has me truly lost for words at every frame. The exaggerations and lively expressions warm my heart and the attention to detail in the fighting choreography is astounding. Everything has a weight to it which I love dearly. And everytime I go back and watch I always learn something new or point out a new detail. In my view as a newer trigun fan, it isn't about whether which upholds standard but more about where could Trigun Stampede take the audience. And I'm super excited to see what season 2 has in store for Meryl and what other characters are introduced or re-introduced! And I can't help but gush and say that Vash just might be my all-time favorite protagonist! Can't wait to see where his character arc goes or how his thoughts are expressed in season 2!
