The good: The leading lady, Anna Castillo, whose acting was exceptional in this survival film about a pregnant woman who attempts to escape from a totalitarian regime slautering women, children, the elderly, and pregnant women in Spain for reasons not made known.
The cinematography used to depict and capture the absolutely grotesque scenes throughout this movie that were almost too difficult to watch.
The bad: Although Anna did an amazing job making each scene believable, several of the story elements were just too far fetched, e.g. a cell phone that had been smashed and submersed in sea water being powered back up and working without a charger for a month, and then never making any attempts to call the coast guard for help when she did manage to get a cell phone connection.
Slicing your flesh open on a jagged piece of metal, and then crafting a makeshift "needle" to stich it up while living in a metal shipping container floating in the middle of the ocean that had knee deep grossly contaminated water by vomit, feeces, blood, etc.
Husband, although his role was small, was pitiful, especially next to Anna Castillo, whose acting was superb in this film.
Would I watch this film again, definitely not. If I had known what I know now, would I have watched it the first time ... probably not.
