Schrödinger's cat is both alive and dead. Oppenheimer is a hero and the destroyer of worlds. The atomic and hydrogen bombs are a crowning scientific achievement and the former greatest curse perpetrated by man on himself. Now ignoring climate change is worse than the bomb. The world has already ended, it just hasn't happened yet. The movie points out how officials denying the truth don't change the truth: the Russians have the bomb and there is still a global nuclear arms race being joined by crazy dictators. Denying the arms race didn't stop it from happening. Denying the perils of climate change won't stop them from happening either.
