Leaving Neverland was excellent in showing how grooming occurs. I think we associate abuse as something violent and aggressive when it is, in most instances of pedophilia quite the opposite and has to be in order to work. It requires a level of charm, cunning and patience and ability to fool. Whole families are seduced. It showed the MO used many times by M Jackson. Getting close to the entire family of a particular child, basically wooing them all not just with material things but also by making them all feel special by (megastar) staying with them in their, comparatively, humble home, earning trust by letting each family think they are the first to make him feel normal, allow him to have a childhood. Pure seduction. After looking at the MO combined with other areas of M Jackson's life it is hard, if not nigh on impossible, not to believe the statements of the two men: Wade Robson and James Safechuck. After all if you remove the name Michael Jackson, insert any other, few would be in doubt of guilt. Those that worship at the feet of celebrities will use emotion as opposed to reasoning or logic to try and connect the dots because they cannot accept it. I read something that perfectly sums this up: 'It’s hard to be both rational and in awe at the same time'. The documentary was from the perspective of: who were the people in the room after the bedroom door closed and this is their story. I found the information given by Jim Clemente, Former FBI investigator (on youtube) to very useful. It contradicts this idea that extremist fans of Jackson keep pointing out that the FBI investigated Jackson for several years and clarifies other points including that there were other victims.. People say there isn't evidence but there is more than enough information but I guess we are not supposed to listen to the words of people who are not powerful/famous: The housekeeper, Francia, the maid Mcmanus, J Clemente, FBI, 6 allegations from children, several pay offs. Almost same/similar accounts given by children who claim to have been abused.Cut throat team of lawyers, Pellicano detective/fixer for Jackson...the list is endless but still we are supposed to believe. Why did he have a security system of alarms and and a screen to alert him if anyone approached his bedroom? This has been confirmed by Macaulay Culkin. Finally, at what point and after how many years does one feel childhood has been regained? For most of us it lasts a few years but Jackson was pretty old not to have made up for it. From his interviews he was much more mature during one of his interviews when he was a youngster. His best friend at elementary school wrote a book for fans, in his book he states he and Jackson had a wonderful time for several years before his fame grew, so maybe even that was part of his fake persona. My take, he was pretty normal (considering he and his brothers/sister suffered abuse at the hands of their father) when he was young but when his sexual needs kicked in he put on the little boy act and built Neverland, something he may well have enjoyed but also as a honey trap for young boys.Fanatics of Jackson say the doc is one sided....we have heard nothing but Jackson's side for years, through his lawyers, his PR (both of whom demonize all who speak out) and himself. We FINALLY get to hear the other side. The side that was shut down by Jackson's wealth when J Chandler and G Arvizo tried to tell the world what happened to them. I hope we don't shut down another two voices for the sake of liking a famous person and a tune.
