Have watched first episode. I can only say that I regret calling in to Ilfracombe during my stays in Devon. I regret even more the fact that I watched it. Painfully slow, Some of the acting was chronic and I have to single out the female detective (that is when you could hear her). I can only assume that Dobson, Stevenson and Shaw were feeling the strain of not acting for so long they took the parts. Have to say that ITV did do well to get two gay actors to play the detective and his husband. Looks a lot more natural in their intimate scenes. I'm watching Shetland and although Ann Cleeves has now finished writing the books and has no further involvement in it, its far superior to this.
