The story is so enticing and I lovethe alien story. Ever since I was a kid. Although certain characters and their scripting dont make sense, realistically. The brother, iykyk, is unbelievably unrealistic. He reacts to and says things that normal people in those situations would never ever do or say. His acting isn't terrible, it isn't great though either - he feels so out of place in this story, casting and scripting, both. He's an irritation, no offense to the actor, though.
