Bill - I am a longtime viewer of Real Time But I have to call you on this visit to Trump because you are not being honest with yourself or to your audience. 1. You are NOT Nixon. You are a TV show host and a comedian. To suggest that your visit with Trump could have any meaning more than a cry for media attention ($) is absurd. You are lying to yourself about “opening lines of communication.” Such hubris is very disappointing. 2. Then you appear on TV and compliment the man who is destroying our country. Again your claim that you are being “truthful” about the “man I met” is disingenuous. The optics are clear. Trump played you like a fiddle. How sad to see one of my favorite show hosts capitulate to this man. Hopefully, you’ll get paid for all the clips of that monologue that he and Fox will use when he runs for president a third time.
