If this were on a hotel rating format, I would give it a 2.5. Mostly because whoever did all of the set design/ costumes/ etc, did a great job. Other than that, my partner and I both left really not understanding the message. It was not compelling in anyway whatsoever. I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it. It was bona fide mediocre. On the other hand, if they had done a whole movie about ‘Weird Barbie’, I think it would’ve been a far more interesting concept. Kate McKinnon was the only truly entertaining character. Honestly, I’m not sure six weeks from now I’m going to remember even one scene from the movie.
