Great read from beginning to end. This is the first book I have read in its entirety in probably 7/8 years. The twists and turns taken, and I couldn’t put the book down. I really enjoyed this story. And how great is it that it contains some herbal remedies at the end?! This book definitely left me wishing for another story or just more of the story. Or maybe a prequel about nellas life growing up! Or a sequel where Caroline discovers another mystery to unravel. I’m not sure if there are any more part to this as I haven’t looked yet…. Either way, this was definitely a wonderful read. I have had the book for a while sitting on my shelf, and I’m mad at myself for having not opened it sooner. I think those that have left lower star reviews with less than kind remarks simply lack an appreciation for anything along the likes of fictional crime or women standing by one another…. Perhaps they couldn’t keep up with the shifts in the timeline or they just want a quick to the point story.
