This book is written in such a way that will make you feel the loneliness inherent in the characters. Shows that specific desires, ambitions overpowers every aspect of your life. You need to experience certain loneliness and emptiness in order to understand it. How Miu constructs life for herself and what actions Sumire takes and how all of this affects K and his own life. Many people might not like this Murakami book as it seems full of magic realism but in reality you have to dig deeper and read between the lines and most importantly, focus on 'dreams'.
