A great book, but two errors that should be corrected in future editions: (1) It was the German Sixth Army (under General Paulus) that was defeated at Stalingrad in February 1943, not the Fifth Army [page 288]; (2) future Israeli prime ministers Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Rabin were not commanders in the Stern Gang (Lehi); Begin was a leader in the Irgun, Rabin of course a commander in the Palmach (Haganah) [page 339]. -- Gordon Epstein, Potomac, Maryland
