I was and always will be a huge fan of this show. Seeing it brought back after what many (myself included) thought was a rather unfitting end to this tale of morality and our fight against our own inner demons, is absolutely incredible, and something fans don't always get. I know this show would never have been revived if the writers didn't have some great stuff planned for us. Speaking of which, that's a major highlight of Dexter, old and new. The writing is top notch, and never really gets to the point of "Real people don't talk like that!!" It's always believable, even when crazy things are happening, the whit and charm of Micheal C Hall is also great to see again. If they had tried to recast this, it would NEVER work. And seeing Deb take the place of Harry is a brilliant way to keep the legacy of Harry going and keeping the duality of Deb and Dexter's relationship front and center. All in all, 3 episodes in and I can't wait to binge season 4 already. The anticipation is half the excitement of the show after all, and I'm really loving the new angle we get. If you loved the original, your going to feel right at home with New Blood.
