I enjoyed this course, and took it to heart, particularly the last lecture. It’s history with philosophy and colloquies mixed in. Funny though, I didn’t think they allowed thespians in Oklahoma.

Great Introductory Course on Rhetoric! It helps you to prepare effective written and spoken presentations in many ways. Professor Drout gets you to focus on your audience and on what you want them to do. He helps you structure your presentation and gives you tools to engage your audience, to keep them interested and to persuade them. Professor Drout teaches in a serious, yet humorous way. My only complaint is that I didn’t get a copy of the course book and would love one.
