Generally, the Outer Wilds is a game about travelling to outer space and exploring different parts of space. The creators embed many minigames that distort your perception of reality. Hence why I think it would be great for VR! That, and it is in a first-person perspective. The story is, that you are an alien, on an alien planet who is a newly trained spaceship pilot. And preparation is needed before entering space, which many alien people on your planet help you with. And once you hit space, everything is your oyster. If I focus on how the game felt sensationally, the world felt very immersive and quite visually appealing. To the point my boyfriend and I would look up at the sky in game and it would feel like we were actually looking at the sky. We felt a lot of awe in this game haha. The way they introduce world elements like religion, feels very organic. Which added to the immersion of the game. And the distortion of perception lead us to being very appreciative for the stable world we live in lol. 😂🤗
