This was my last read of 2023. It was so beautifully written using so many literary devices to paint a picture for the reader. There were so many layers hidden in the pages of this story and the author’s storytelling was smooth making it easy to fly through its pages to uncover what was next. This would make a good movie. I would highly recommend it as a great read. Wonderful historical elements throughout. Well done Shelley Read on writing this vivid and unforgettable story.
