Since the time period is similar to Downton - most are going to naturally draw comparisons and hope that lightening struck twice! Which honestly it's impossible, given the masterpiece that Downton is. However if Downton didn't exist - God forbid! - there are enough differences, that regardless it's still a 2 star show. The sets and costumes are beautiful - but the acting is terrible. I keep watching - hoping that it picks up, but it's incredibly stiff and forced and over the top. It's a shame because the storylines could be great. It's not terrible - but wouldn't be something I recommend.
