Smooth from start to finish. Addition by subtraction as new characters and plots were brought into play. Woodys maturation shines in this film, it was a great dive into Woodys character as a sheriff and leader of the Toys. It also starts the passing of the baton to the new toys. It is ultimately Woody’s story and how much he loved his position as Andy’s #1 toy. It utilizes the toys as a metaphor for parents and gives light to the protective side of parents even though they are toys. The story brings up the concept of legacy, and really deep fundamentals and concepts that will get the adults thinking while the kids are just enjoying the toys do toy things. Loved every moment of the movie. Pixar pays tribute to its beloved beginnings and closes its main story line while leaving the door open for another story and expansion on Bonnie’s story.
