This might be the most feel-good, delusional movie I have ever seen. We always recreate moments in our minds, moments where we lost an argument, we said something bad, we missed something, we were unable to do something. Because in our mind, we always want to win. By recreating moments, we prepare ourselves for the next similar occasion, where we could be the winner. In the world of Walter Mitty, he recreates moments instantly, parallel to the actual event, that makes him delusional. These zoned-offs make him socially awkward but helped him to find the real meaning of 'LIFE'. The naming of this film shouldn't be "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty ", the name should be "The Real Life of Walter Mitty". Where Walter followed his passion, travel the world, found the real meaning of life, and got together with the woman he loved. For me, there is nothing else in this world knows as life.

Quite recently people are rethinking about the possibilities of us living in a simulation in some teenager's basement, or maybe in a huge supercomputer having power near to the Matrioshka brain, powered by a Dyson's sphere in some lonely, dark, cold galaxy. Or maybe it's the trees that are farming us, as they need carbon dioxide for them to live, and we are the only species that emits it. Who knows, but if it happens, leaving that prison should be the main goal of humankind. This movie asks the questions about our reality, simulation, privacy and global mass manipulation that has been going for quite a some time now. Truman is an unwanted child who was adopted by the corporation for the very first time in the world. Only and only to be recorded 24×7 for 365 days in a controlled world. The the recorded footage is broadcasted globally for entertainment. The way this producer Christof has manipulated Truman and his world itself is very terrifying to even see. But that is not the most scary part, the most terrifying part of this whole saga is how we, the audience sees the sufferings of Truman and enjoys the show 24×7. Isn't that also manipulated? Controlled by someone? So where is the free will? By controlling one person a man with bunch of money and 5000 cameras somehow got the power of controlling the whole world. This thing terrified me most. About the psychology of Truman, he seemed happy in his own custom world, but the moment he finds the real nature, he sets his life goal to one and only thing, that is to be free and explore the world. That is the real nature of us, human, to be free from soul, and to explore things. That's what we are doing for 300,000 years and we are supposed to do for ever. Even after all the prohibition he did it, another human nature. The winning at then end proved the inevitable power of us, human, the most powerful living object in this world.
