I was a little concerned about the game after reading quite a few negative reviews. I played the beta before the actual game was released and had a general feel for how the game mechanics worked. I played through the game and did almost all the side quests. I would say that took me between 13to15 hours. The game has some neat weapons, some of which give you the opportunity to parry incoming attacks if timed correctly. The game was tough early on but once you level up Aegis the game becomes a lot more manageable . Overall the bosses(Titans) are cool. My main complaints with the game are the mediocre graphics; which for a ps5 game is unacceptable IMo and my other gripe with the game is its map/compass. The compass generally works but sometimes when using it to locate the main mission marker or side quest marker, it’s easy to get turned around or lost all together because it’s not always a straight shot to the objective. You might have to back track, or find alternative routes which will take you away from the marker and then back to it but unless you know this you might 2nd guess and try to go another way which leads to getting turned around. I would rate this game an 8 out 10. Not nearly as challenging as games like nioh or sekiro but a fun souls like.
