Lycia Harding

The cinematography was beautiful, the soundtrack was dynamic, the special effects were terrifying and the character development was thorough and believable but what really made the movie for me was the the acting, especially that of the kid who played the lead. It's rare to see someone so young carry an adult movie but he pulled it off. The plot was pretty standard but sparked a little at the very end and they clearly left room for a sequel. What're they gonna call it - 28 decades later? Ha! Good movie, I'd recommend it!

Jennifer Anniston was a surprisingly good fit for this character. The director had numerous opportunities to distract us with Jen's various well known physical attributes but never indulged, instead letting the whole thing ride on her gritty, consistent, sometimes unlikable but always believable interpretation of Claire. It was a good bet, as far as I'm concerned.
