Dreadful and deeply disappointing. Pointless and unless you enjoy Samuel Jackson portraying himself, again, you'll avoid this turkey. Woeful!

Hill is great, this book, not so much. A great idea but the writing is unusually clunky for Hill and it's clearly an earlier work. It's a blend of political intrigue, sci-fi and even then stretches credulity at times. Still, it's Reginald Hill so although I don't recommend it, it's solid if unspectacular.

Supposedly a dystopian future thriller but apparently a coming of age story about a lesbian teenager. Lots of Magary's renowned humor but book lacks, well, everything. I practiced my speed reading on it but you won't have to if you don't pick it up.
