This is the Foos at their best. TBH, until now, I haven’t cared for much past Wasting Light. I felt like they spent all their time and energy trying to pay homage to their influences… so much so that they lost their identity... the sound that made them who and what they are. BHWA is a return to form that sounds natural, haunting, ethereal, dark and beautiful. My personal favorite off this album is ‘Show Me How.’ Dave and Violet killed that duet. The harmonies are simple yet elegant and flowy. Every song is great and the tracks are sequenced just right. It’s a shame it took such a tragic event to drive the Foos to produce something so perfect But Here We Are. I know Taylor’s smiling down from the great unknown on the band and this album. What a great collection of songs!!!
