Agree that this book is not quite right, it doesn't read like many of the better books in the series. There is little emotional investment by the characters including Reacher himself, they all move from scene to scene with no urgency, including the killers. No inspiration, no build up of excitement, flat dead narrative. If the next Reacher book is also a disappointment I'm afraid the series is done for good.
