Bobs Burgers: A solid 7 out of 10. The good: It has the heart of the TV show. The family is very endearing and likeable. The call backs to past episodes were fun. The 2D animation is gorgeous to see on the big screen and its fun to see what the producers can do when given some money.
The not so great: I agree with some of the reviewers who mentioned they wished the stakes were bigger as it did kind of feel like an over extended TV episode. I feel like they have done similar stories like this before on the show. If you are going to release a theatrical, why not go big? Also, the Fishoders are not my favorite secondary characters on the show, I would have preferred the writers went with Aunt Gayle instead (who is always a joy). Finally, I feel the heart and soul of Bob's Burgers is when the family is together on an adventure. Too many times on the show, they split the kids up from Bob and Linda. This continues in the movie.
The Ugly: None to report. This is a fairly good if unmemorable movie for me. Fans of the show will have a good time.
