This is the first time I'm writing a review about a movie, though not the best movie but salute to the efforts put in by each and every character of the movie especially Farhan Akhtar. Before putting my thoughts across, I read a few reviews (not so good ones) about this movie and disappointed to see that most of us watch movies not for entertainment or may be to understand a message that movies try to convey to us, but to judge the efforts put by the character, to judge the story, to judge the script or anything and everything about the movie, so easy to point out the flaws of the each and everything, as though we could've done a better job than the actual characters like Paresh Rawal, Mrinal Thakur, Farhan Akhtar and so on. I also thought movies are for entertainment and I still do, but looking at the previous reviews I never knew that we are here to judge everything just because a certain story or a character was not proper and didn't do well. Disappointing to read such comments/reviews, kind or motivational words seem to be very expensive these days I guess.
Leaving that aside, I would like to thank Farhan Akhtar for making such a movie. Let's be honest, to some extent it actually didn't make sense for a Doctor to fall for a Dongri boy and some parts of the story again which could've been better, and I'm sure the production team and Farhan Akhtar can come up with something better although this wasn't that bad, emotional scenes are part of most of the movies but this was kind of touching even when Aziz Ali became the National Champion and he fell down on his knees, it wasn't for the medal, it was for Ananya, his wife. RESPECT. And no one other than Farhan Akhtar could do this so well.
All said and done, it was a good movie. Hope to see some more inspiring movies like these and Good job Farhan Akhtar and team. Keep it UP.
