Kali 2898 AD" fell far short of my expectations. The background music was disappointing, the script weak, and Prabhas' forced comedy missed the mark completely. I felt so bored that I nearly fell asleep, and even though the last 30 minutes were great, they couldn't redeem the two hours of dullness that preceded them. The story was easy to understand but not engaging. Amitabh Bachchan was the standout performer, and Deepika Padukone had a couple of good scenes, but the overall experience was underwhelming. Despite the theater being houseful, there was hardly any laughter. The VFX were good but not worth watching in 3D. Overall, I did not enjoy the film and would rate it 2.5 out of 5.
