I’m on page 385 of Rules of Civility. So far it is so slow I’m beginning to skip pages. It’s a book about nothing! Nothing has happened. I’m not invested in any character. I don’t care what happens to any of them. Not even the main character Katey. No one is very likable or interesting. People come and go… I have a lot to read but I can’t imagine it getting exciting.. everything is mentioned in passing. Like I had an abortion.. no biggie… just a fact… no how did you feel? .. how did he? how did the conversation go? nothing!!! Super boring to the point I can’t remember people’s names because they are not relevant.

Worst book ever. Plus why would she name a book The Glass Ocean when there is already a book named that. But to be honest, I don’t know which one came first, but the other one was really really good. This one sucks there is no characters and they don’t talk back-and-forth. There’s no narrative. It’s just like somebody just sat down and wrote a journal all from their own perspective, slow, slow slow. Don’t waste your time!
