I enjoyed reading this book it was a little bit confusing at times, but overall a pretty good read. What I like best about this book is the plot twist towards the middle-end of the book ***SPOILER ALERT*** when Alice finds out she is a story and her mother is a thief who kidnapped her when she was a baby. What I liked least about this book was how it was a little bit confusing to imagine certain parts at times for example ***SPOILER ALERT*** when Alice is in the Hazel Wood and the rooms keep changing and memories appear. This book was a window for me. I don't know what it is like to lose someone I love and who is really close to me, so this book really showed me what it is like when you lose someone or worse don't even know what happened to them. I would recommend this book to someone who likes fantasy and non-fiction. Although the book has elements of fantasy for example ***SPOILER ALERT*** when Alice finds out she is a story and can kill someone just by her cold breath, but the storyline is realistic (daughter loses mother, daughter looks for mother, daughter and mother reunite). I would also recommend this book to people who like being a little bit confused, or likes mystery.
