Erle Stanley Gardner supplied the names of Perry Mason and Della Street. Everything else was supplied by the slimeball writers of the series. More than once, I thought of Fantasia redone in the style of Fritz the Cat.The difference, of course, is that Fritz the Cat was more than a little funny. In short, there is no reason to call this a Perry Mason story, reboot or tragedy other than to glean undeserved viewership from those hoping to see the well known characters done in a new way. Just as well reboot Downton Abbey as a sadomasochistic Chicken Ranch.
