Not worth the time. A crazy, convoluted plot that is full of holes big enough to drive a truck through. If you've read the book you'll know what I mean. The prose is choppy mainly due to the first person narrative. Too many things make no sense and just as many that are plain ridiculous - An oven glove over an injured hand? Really? No bandages in a Ski Lodge or even a hanky?? The ending is more a relief that the book is nearly over rather than the aha moment it should be when the killer is revealed. If Stevenson thinks he's channeling Knives Out or emulating Chandler then he's sorely mistaken. I need a Bex and a lie-down to soothe my aching head.
