A fascinating survey of what freedom has meant over the ages thru many cultures, from the ancient Greeks and Romans, Europe and Asia, the birth of the US, to present day. Have to say this book made me think harder about my opinions / views / perceptions than anything I’ve read in years. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that may challenge your point of view, whatever that may be.
