Season 1 was great. It had great character development and it drew you in. The dynamic between Kai and his mom and the potential romance between Ajino and Rei kept me watching. But then a five year time skip happened and the tempo of the show changed. It got kind of boring. The animation of season 2 all took a notable drop. And entire episodes were pretty much just stills and the competitors playing Chopan while voicing their inner thoughts. I had to force myself through the season because I liked season 1 so much. I’m hoping if there is a third season, the animation improves and they focus more on character development and leave the piano stuff for more dramatic moments instead having it be the whole show like they did in season 2.
